Common Pregnancy Symptoms

  • Missed Period
  • Tender, Swollen Breasts
  • Nausea (With or Without Vomiting)
  • Increased Urination
  • Fatigue
  • Food Aversion or Cravings
  • Mood Swings
  • Slight Spotting or Cramping

During the first trimester, it may be harder to notice pregnancy symptoms. If you suspect you may be pregnant, even if your symptoms look different than the ones listed, it is important to get tested. Not everyone’s symptoms look the same, and getting a pregnancy confirmation early on can give you the necessary time to prepare for the future.

Pregnancy Confirmation

Once our team has confirmation of your pregnancy, we can help you with a plan going forward. We offer a free options consultation to discuss your pregnancy options so that you can make an informed choice. We can also connect you to other resources if need be.

When Should You Take a Pregnancy Test?

You will get the most accurate results after you have already missed your period. Urine pregnancy tests read the levels of hCG secretion that happens after implantation has occurred, and these become easier to pick up on after a missed period. Whether you have or have not taken a test at home, it is advisable to schedule an appointment for a test, as this will ensure you have gotten the most accurate test results.

How long does the appointment take?

Generally, a pregnancy testing appointment will take anywhere between 30-45 minutes, depending on the needs of the patient. We encourage our patients to come in whatever way they feel most comfortable. This could mean coming alone, with a partner, with a friend or with a family member. If you have other children, we may be able to help you in other ways through providing diapers, wipes and clothing. Let us know what your needs are when you arrive.
